Happy Diwali! Green Diwali! Diwali Celebrations
Diwali – The Festivals of Lights was celebrated by the students of Early Years of MRIS-46 Gurugram with great pomp and fervor. To add to the joy of festivities, a special assembly was conducted by the students of KG-2 (Mars) and KG-8 (Earth). Children shared the importance of festival of Diwali and depicted how houses are cleaned, decorated with flowers, rangoli and earthen lamps.
Pretty girls dressed up in ‘Lehngas’ and the handsome boys dressed up in ‘Kurta Pyjamas’, brought in the excitement by invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi. A skit showcasing ‘Polluted Diwali’ and ‘Green Diwali’, was presented, thus, giving a strong message to the audience to celebrate a peaceful and green Diwali. The assembly concluded with a foot tapping dance performance which filled the whole ambience with joy and happiness.
