Celebrate International Yoga Day

“Yoga is the journey which takes you to your real self, to your soul, through your own self.”
Manav Rachna International School Charmwood and Sector 21 C Faridabad celebrated the International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm. Keeping with the theme for this year, ”Yoga for Health, Yoga at Home”, the schools brought yoga to the households.
Mr. Harish Thakur – A Holistic Yoga Instructor from the Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar was the key instructor who conducted the session. The programme commenced with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra. Dr. Suchitra Bhattacharya -Principal MRIS Charmwood welcomed the dignitaries including Ms. Nisha Bhalla- Executive Director-MRIS Charmwood and Sector 21C, Ms. Sanyogita Sharma-Director, MRIS and Ms. Seema Anis-Officiating Principal, MRIS Sector 21C.
After, the motivating words by the Chief luminaries, the session began. It was an enriching session wherein the instructor elaborated about the benefits of various asanas. The aim of the session was to create awareness about the benefits of yoga. Thus, the session helped in highlighting that Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s tradition to the world. It embodies the unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfilment and a holistic approach to health and general well –being of mankind.
