‘A Carnival of Telangana’s Wildlife’ Activity for Grade I Students

In our cross-curricular approach and an initiative to bring art into the domain of curriculum, an activity “A Carnival of Telangana’s Wildlife” was organized for the students of Grade 1 where they showcased their learning of the CREST theme – ‘Our Environment’. Students, by using artificial reality, face painting and various props and costumes, transformed themselves into animals of Telangana. The tiny learners enthusiastically acted out as animals of their choice and eagerly described their habitats, eating habits, breathing organs and movements. The activity made the process of learning joyful and left a positive impact on the communication skills and confidence of the students.
