Students explore the life of a dentist at specialised centres of MRIIRS

Under the ‘Live your dream career for a day’ program, six scholars of Class XII of MRIS Sector-14 who are interested in Dentistry as a career option, visited Faculty of Dentistry, Manav Rachna Dental College (MRDC), MRIIRS recently.

Dr Naresh Sharma, Professor – Dept of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry along with Dr. Sushant, Dr. Archika, Dr. Tanya, Dr. Brinda gave students a first-hand experience of the latest instruments used in Dentistry like microscopic use in Endodontics & lasers. Since orientation program of 14th BDS Batch was going on, students joined with freshers in their celebration. The idea was to convey to them that it’s not just academics that we teach, we groom the overall persona of the students.

They were shown Tobacco Cessation Center & Geriatric Center at MRDC which was followed by a panel discussion headed by Dr. Naresh Sharma who told students to “Have passion & treat with compassion”. Students were briefed about career stability, financial prospects, higher education in Dentistry, etc.

Dr Sanjay Srivastava, VC – MRIIRS, and Dr Arundeep Singh, Director-Principal, MRDC interacted with each one of them, motivated them to work hard and stay focused on their goal.
