Workshops conducted for students
Holistic approach to Education
Manav Rachna International School, Sector 14, Faridabad, is deeply committed to the holistic development of its students, orchestrating a series of transformative workshops. Amidst an array of workshops conducted, the ‘Author Workshop by Ms. Vandana Varanjani from Times of India’ sparked a fervor for writing and creativity, encouraging young minds to explore the boundless world of literature.
‘The Save Soil workshop,’ led by Isha Foundation volunteers, instilled a profound understanding of environmental conservation and sustainability.
In the realm of safety and self-awareness, the POCSO workshop provided invaluable insights into child safety laws and personal boundaries. Further enriching the students’ social and emotional landscape, workshops on language and behavior, emotional regulation, and the use of polite words and actions were conducted, honing their social skills and emotional intelligence.
These workshops endowed students with indispensable life skills, cultivating well-rounded personalities. They learned to express themselves creatively, appreciate their environmental responsibilities, ensure personal safety, communicate with eloquence, and regulate their emotions. The school’s dedication to comprehensive education is aptly reflected in these words: “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” Through these enriching experiences, Manav Rachna International School fosters a generation of students who are not only academically proficient but also emotionally intelligent and socially conscious.
Building Inclusivity
In observance of Autism Awareness Month, MRIS-14 hosted an interactive workshop titled “Building Inclusivity in the Classroom” led by School Counselor Pratishtha Satsangi. The workshop aimed to equip educators with strategies to foster inclusive learning environments, focusing on managing early childhood disorders like ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities.
Participants gained insights into accommodating diverse student needs to promote acceptance and support. Additionally, teachers had an interactive session on behavior management techniques tailored to classroom settings. As a symbol of solidarity with autism awareness, all attending educators wore blue attire. The workshop concluded with an inclusive art activity, reinforcing the significance of diversity and inclusivity in educational settings.

MRIS-14 conducted a counseling session led by School Counselor Ms. Pratishtha Satsangi, targeting students in Grades 1 to 5. The session aimed to enhance students’ well-being and academic success by emphasizing the pivotal roles of language and behavior in shaping a conducive learning environment.
Students were sensitized to the importance of effective communication through language and its role in fostering a positive educational atmosphere. Discussions included promoting linguistic standards, fostering diversity, and introducing reward systems to encourage positive language practices. The session also underscored the significance of respectful behavior and mutual inclusivity in maintaining a harmonious school community conducive to learning.
Safe and Unsafe Touch
POCSO Act Workshop
In our ongoing commitment to student safety and security, MRIS- 14 recently conducted a comprehensive workshop on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for our dedicated teachers of the Primary and Pre-primary wing.
This crucial training session was conducted by Ms. Aparna, Counselor at the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), aimed to empower our educators with the knowledge and tools needed to protect our youngest students from sexual offences and ensure their safety and well-being.
During the workshop, participants gained a deep understanding of the POCSO Act, learned to recognize the signs of child sexual abuse, and were educated on the proper reporting mechanisms.
The interactive sessions also focused on developing effective strategies to create a safe and supportive environment within our school. We believe that by equipping our teachers with this vital knowledge, we can ensure that every student feels protected and supported. Together, we are building a safer future for our children.
Save Soil Workshop
Sadhguru, a well known spiritual leader and the founder of Isha Foundation has rightly quoted that soil is the only magic material that turns death into life. He had launched Save Soil Movement to save soil.
By following his ideology, MRIS14 conducted a workshop on Save Soil. The main agenda of this workshop was to sensitise the students and to address the soil crisis situation around the world. It was an enriching session conducted by the volunteers from Isha Foundation. The session was culminated wherein the students wrote letters to honorable Prime Minister addressing to change the policies to save soil.
These letters were then sent to Isha Foundation to be further sent to the PM office. The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and took a pledge to sensitise more people in relation to the global problem.
