Languages and literacy

Language and literacy are both building blocks for academic success. Multiple languages are taught at MRIS to build communication and cultural understanding. English is the 1st language, followed by Hindi/Punjabi as the 2nd language. Students also have the option of studying Sanskrit, French, Spanish, and German as the 3rd language. The 3rd language is introduced in the Vth grade and students continue learning it till grade VIII. From grade IX onwards, English is a compulsory language and additionally students can choose any one of the other languages (from above) that they have studied.
