Social Initiatives

Social initiatives teach students the value of giving back to their community.

Students imbibe a deep sense of responsibility and accountability when they realize that they can make a positive impact in their society.

At Manav Rachna, we believe in looking beyond ourselves.

Our schools undertake multiple social initiatives under the aegis of Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation. Ek Muthi Daan, promoting digital literacy, reaching out to senior citizens in old age homes, adopting a Government school for support and collaboration, establishing a student to student partnership, inviting students to the school to share infrastructure are some of the many initiatives that all Manav Rachna Schools undertake.

Apart from these, each school has its own specific outreach programs. They individually select other social initiatives on an annual basis within their immediate community.

  • Our school has proudly adopted the ‘Govt Girls School’ in Badshahpur, playing a pivotal role in enhancing its infrastructure and overall learning environment. Under this initiative, we have set up a fully equipped computer lab and library, provided essential furniture, and worked diligently to create a more conducive space for learning. Additionally, our students have been regularly visiting the school for peer mentoring sessions, fostering a spirit of collaboration and mutual growth.
  • Manav Rachna International School, Sector 46 Gurugram, has been deeply committed to the Social Outreach Program by actively collaborating with ‘Deep Ashram,’ a home for the mentally challenged. Embodying the spirit of the adage, “It is better to give than to receive,” our students and staff have found immense fulfilment in engaging with the residents through activities such as art, music, and dance. Additionally, students have consistently donated cleaning supplies and personal items to the Ashram.

  • A Blood Donation Camp in association with Rotary Club is organized on an annual basis since many years. The camp not only raises awareness about the importance of blood donation but also contributes significantly to local blood banks.
  • Under the aegis of the O.P. Bhalla Foundation, a large number of winter clothes and blankets have been donated during our collection drives over the last two years. An area near the boundary wall has been designated as the ‘Kindness Wall,’ where these collected items are placed daily for anyone in need to take as per their utility.

  • To reduce pollution, a dedicated drive that encourages responsible disposal of earthen idols of deities, diyas, and flowers after Diwali is organized. In collaboration with the prestigious Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), these items are collected at school and are then recycled into useful products like bricks and incense sticks.
  • Our yearly initiative ‘Ek Mutthi Daan’ under the aegis of Dr. O.P Bhalla Foundation, has witnessed generous contributions in the form of rice and dry pulses by the students and staff of the school.
  • Our school has forged partnerships with environmental organizations such as the Jagriti Foundation and Green-O-Bin for collaborative initiatives focussing on recycling paper waste, diverting it from landfills and supporting the production of recycled paper products.
  • Our ‘No Planet B’ School Committee, led by senior students, also runs regular awareness campaigns in the neighbourhood, promoting cleanliness, tree plantations, advocating for eco-friendly and sustainable living. Through this initiative, we strive to foster a sense of environmental responsibility within our community.

  • The No Planet B committee has also been consistently organizing the ‘Khushiyon ka Recycle’ initiative in collaboration with Goonj Organisation. Parents and students are regularly encouraged to donate old stationery, uniforms, general clothing, and toys. These items are then distributed among the underprivileged, bringing joy and support to those in need.
  • Students from “The No Planet B (NPB) committee” have also been visiting the Neev Foundation for the underprivileged regularly, where they have taken an active role in mentoring the students. Through various hands-on activities, the committee has educated the students about crucial topics like water conservation and first-aid, helping them understand the importance of these practices in daily life. Additionally, they tutor the students in science and mathematics, provide guidance and resolve any doubts or queries they may have.
