It is rightly said ‘Everyone is talented because everybody who is human has something to express’. There was no dearth of talent showcased in the second edition of ‘India Calling- Swarnim Bharat’ an Inter-School competition at MRIS Mohali on 8th August, 2019.

Many schools of tri-city participated in various competitions ranging from dance, mask making, mime, canvas painting, stand-up comedy and rap relay. The event commenced with lamp lighting followed by the performances. Students gave tough competition to each other and made judges think hard to select the winner.

The first three position holders in all the competitions were felicitated with trophies by the Guest of Honour, Ms. Gunmala Suri, HoD Operations Branch, UBS in Panjab University. She explained the importance of participation in any competition to children and emphasized on the importance of patience in a student’s life.

The spark in the eyes of students of Gurukul Global School, Manimajra could be seen while receiving the overall Trophy.

Ms. Taruna Vashisht, Principal MRIS- Mohali, concluded the event by applauding the efforts of all participants and highlighted the USPs of the school, “We don’t do different things, but we do things differently.”
