In accordance with the theme ‘It’s Yummy’, the little ones were encouraged to compare food items based on their size, weight and type, and buy the same at a Grocery shop. To practically reinforce the concept, a small set up of a ‘Grocery Store’ was created where the toddlers enjoyed shopping for real fruits, vegetables and other favourite items. For this, they used gunny sacks and pledged not to use poly bags while doing grocery or going to the ‘Sabzi Mandi’ with their parents. They took turns posing as cashiers and exchanged bills. They understood the concept of shopping at the grocery store and will soon be visiting an actual one to relive the experience.
