With an aim to ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ under AP-2 ‘Community Connect’, students of Grade 4 & 5 have taken an initiative for ‘’Plastic Free Cleanliness Drive” at Government Primary School, Papri village. This drive focused on creating awareness among the Papri students on the ill-effects caused by the single use plastic and steps taken by the government to ban it. The drive also aimed to inspire them towards the usage of paper or fabric (Cotton or Jute) bags instead of poly bags. The students of MRIS made beautiful charts on ‘Say No to Plastic’ and collected all the plastic items from every corner of the school and also appealed to all the students for ‘Save the EARTH from Plastic Pollution’.
Students of MRIS Mohali and Government Primary School, Papri village took a pledge to keep India free from ‘Single use of Plastic’.
