Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana organized Little Einstein Day as a tribute to the man who is an international icon of genius – ALBERT EINSTEIN. This day was commemorated by offering a plethora of activities that were performed by the budding scientists of Early Years.

To commence with, three thought-provoking activities were conducted out of which Zoetrope was the first one. Students were introduced with the concept of ZOETROPE, a device that produces an illusion of motion from a rapid succession of static pictures. Kids made zoetrope with the help of their teachers and were imparted information regarding the same.

Rolling the ball in the same court, the second activity that took place was CHROMATOGRAPHY- color writing. The students created different patterns using tissue papers and sketch pens. It was a fun-filled activity in which the kids observed the change in the pattern of the colorful inks on wet paper.

FILTRATION was the last activity performed by the kids. They were educated about water filtration process. A DIY activity was carried out in each class in which students made water filter for their respective classes under their teacher’s guidance. They turned the plastic bottle upside down and added layers of cotton, gravel, stones, charcoal and fine sand. Then, they poured muddy water and observed how it passed through all the layers which resulted in the clean water. Kids were startled to see the process of filtration.

Overall, it was a fun- learning experience for the kids.
