Early Years Resource Library

You can find Magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book – Dr. Seuss

Stories play a vital role in the growth and development of children. The books they read and the characters they get to know can become their friends. Stories help to develop a child’s imagination by introducing new ideas into their world. The beauty of stories is that they can be super realistic or incredibly fantastic.

Envisaging this philosophy, Early Years team of Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana has created beautiful and useful resources for children which include story books and books on rhymes. Lesson Plans have been created on the basis of the objectives of Blooms Taxonomy.

The books are grade specific as we believe that without an understanding of the relationship between letters and sounds, reading cannot occur. The phonics short story section contains 40 stories to help children learn how to read. These stories focus on specific sounds and offer a great opportunity to learn words by sight and sound. Our collection of poems for children is perfect for recitation or reading. These poems for kids will give them a love of poetry from a young age.

Attention Getter booklets for each class have been designed to make the teaching learning process interesting. Whether it is a new or experienced teacher, strategies for getting student attention are an important part of the classroom-management tool kit. This is one of the best ways to get students’ attention without raising a voice.

Dr. Rupali Saini, Principal, MRIS, Ludhiana inaugurated the Early Years Resource Library where all the resources have been beautifully represented. The tiny tots were excited as they saw colorful story books all around. The speciality of the library was that the little ones were able to connect and read the books specially designed for them.
