Safe Touch Session for Early Years

“There is nothing more precious to a parent than the child, and there is nothing more important to our future than the safety of all children.”

As much as we want to get the best of education and amenities for our children, it is equally important to ensure their safety. This goal can be achieved by our efforts and creating awareness about the same among our children from the young age. The students of Early Years at MRIS-51 were given a session on ‘Safe Touch’ by our counselor, Ms. Ritika Logani.

The session included a detailed explanation and discussion on good touch, bad touch and unwanted touch. The students were also told about the rules of touching and what to do if someone’s touch makes them uncomfortable. They were also introduced to the concept of ‘consent’ and how to practice it.

It was a very engaging session as relevant videos and PowerPoint presentations were shown to them. The children interacted with the speaker and raised queries. A conversation is all it takes to make a difference. Such conversations also contribute to the character building of our children.
