“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful and committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

A consciously sensitive mind towards our environment not only makes our children kind but also responsible. As a part of the ongoing Big Project – Save Paper integrated with Life skill sessions, MRIS-51 organized a workshop on Composting for Kindergartners. Ms Bharti Arora and Ms Suchitra Arora, grandmother and aunt of one of our KG students shared helpful techniques on consumption of waste through interesting hands-on activity. Students learnt how to make compost at home using waste – including vegetable waste, fruit waste, tea bags, grass cuttings, cut flowers, paper kitchen towels and egg shells. They also learnt about the importance of reuse & recycling. The young environmentalists were intrigued and thrilled to learn about the importance of composting and its positive effects on our mother nature
