A post graduate in History from the prestigious Delhi University and a Master’s in Education from the esteemed Pune University, Ms. Vandana Mahajan bears an overall excellent academic record and certificates of merit.
She firmly believes that, “The purpose of Education is to nurture young and susceptible minds into becoming thinking and empathetic individuals, creating awareness about the self and empowering core human values in each individual.”
In her words, ‘Education to me is serious business. As an educator, I sense my inherent power and deep responsibility to shape the young minds I interact with, so that each one of them is empowered to realize his/her true potential and be able to contribute to collective social responsibility towards the world we live in , through their knowledge, wisdom, skills and the right attitude. And I see my role as a probable role model whom they can look up to for guidance, an unfaltering support and a lifelong commitment to common goals.
As a conscious educator, it is my continuous endeavor, through my words and actions, to imbibe right core human, environmental and global values in young, tender and impressionable minds and to aid them into becoming Life Long Learners by thinking critically and intensively about problems plaguing the world today.’
As an individual, Ms. Vandana firmly believes that, “We have not inherited this world from our ancestors, but borrowed it from our children.” And it is this understanding which she wants to inculcate in her students.
Her work experience includes prominent schools like Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon & the Jain International School, Nagpur, with a vast academic as well as administrative experience in various positions. Working with Curriculums as different as CBSE, IGCSE, IBDP as well as ICSE has aided in her personal as well as professional development. It has made her more flexible in her perception, approach diversity with ease, and also made her more adaptable to her surroundings. She believes being principled and Self-motivated is her key strength.
In her leisure time, she loves to read, paint and listen to soulful music.
