“Try to see the world through the eyes of a child with Sensory Processing Disorder, you would see the world differently………..you would see a beautiful, pure and honest world.”
Fulfilling the sensory needs of children is the first step that leads them towards the ladder of learning. The SEN department of MRIS-46, Gurugram held a workshop for the parents of the students enrolled recently.
The emphasis of the workshop was on the sensory needs of children and it was hosted by the Occupational Therapists of the department. Each of the therapists elaborated on the different aspects of the sensory issues. It was an interactive session and queries of the parents were handled effectively.
The parents were also given an opportunity to practically experience the various activities of ‘Play Therapy’ that they can exercise with their children to understand and fulfill their sensory needs.
