Students of Early Years celebrated Durga Puja & Dussehra

The whole school reverberated with the praises of Maa Durga as the children of Early Years presented an assembly on the occasion of Durga Puja. Girls and boys were dressed in the traditional Bengali attire, and shared the significance of Durga Puja and the 10-day long festivities with their friends. The girls enthralled the audience with their rendition to Maa Durga through a traditional dance performance on the verses of Durga Aarti. Children also performed the famous Dhanuchi dance with dhakis playing the dhol. The assembly culminated with ‘Bisorjan’ of Maa Durga and wishing ‘Shubho Bijoya’ to all.

The festive spirit continued when the students of KG-7 presented an assembly on Dussehra. Children shared the importance of Navratri and performed ‘Garba’. Thereafter, children enacted the story behind Dussehra where Ravan is defeated by Ram, thus showing the victory of good over evil. Children learnt life skills that we should always follow the path of Dharma, truth and righteousness.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Dussehra!
