“Teaching is more than imparting knowledge, it is the inspiring change”

Keeping in mind the above, students of Grade 4 (Antarctic), MRIS-46, Gurugram along with the teachers visited Government Girls Primary School at Badshahpur Gurugram recently. This was in continuation with the support given to our adopted school, under the aegis of Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation.

The agenda for the visit was to encourage the students to celebrate pollution free Diwali by saying NO to crackers. Students of MRIS conducted an assembly beginning with a prayer explaining the significance of celebrating Diwali followed by a ‘Nukkad Natak’ and a dance. After the assembly, students took up an activity in which they taught the students to make colorful paper lanterns. The students enthusiastically participated in the activity and enjoyed it.

Students met the Director Principal of MRIS-46, Ms. Dhriti Malhotra and shared their enriching experience. She congratulated the student volunteers who made an excellent attempt in making Diwali more meaningful and enjoyable for the children at Badshahpur school.

It was indeed a valuable and enriching experience for our students as the joy of giving and sharing could be seen on their faces.
