Workshop on ‘Fashion Design and Personality Grooming’

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only, Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas and with dreams.”

An interesting workshop on ‘Fashion Design and Personality Grooming’ was organized in the premises of Manav Rachna International School, Sector-14, Faridabad under the guidance of Ms. Lakshmi Sharan Singh, Director of The Indian School of Design and Mr. Gaurav Mandal, NIFT Alumni and National-Award winning designer.

The power of style and fashion was articulated and students were taught how to get a better sense of proportion by drawing an outfit on a ‘parchment paper with a human body form’ provided to them. They were made aware of how they would be taught to hone their expertise, explore fabrics, creatively recycle, stylize illustrations and comprehend subtle cues of body language in the most uncommon way. The workshop was embodied by effective awakening as it jostled with interaction and unfettered imagination and the hall was palpable with unbridled enthusiasm. The workshop reached its crescendo by rendering the dynamic learners some food for thought.
