As the pylons of fourth edition of Manav Rachna Model United Nations (MR MUN) incepted today, legions of students from schools across Delhi-NCR embarked on a three-day event of unparalleled stature. The ebullient faces dressed in formal regalia were zealous to fill their Tabula Rasa with resolutions of profound and compelling agendas. An overwhelming participation of over 400 student delegates brimming with plenteous ideas and objectives was observed on day one.
Assuming the garb of different nations, the three-day event catapulted to action with an aim to explore myriad of divergent discussions. The generation Y ranging from Grade VI to XII participated to simulate the intergovernmental Organisation i.e. UN. The event offered multifarious parleys on issues related to maintaining peace, promoting Human Rights, fostering socio-economic development as well as devising strategies to aid in armed conflicts. The student delegates immersed themselves in the role of political heads of eleven committees. MR MUN commenced with an earnest pledge to uphold the ethical values with a spirit of harmony.
The MR MUN was further adorned by the gracious presence of Mrs. Deepika Bhalla, Executive Director; Mr. N.C.Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies; Mrs. Sanyogaita Sharma, Director-MRIS and Faculty of Education, Manav Rachna University. Mrs. Mamta Wadhwa, Principal, MRIS-14, Faridabad addressed the committees that acted as a catalyst and spurred the young delegates to deploy themselves into the international avenues of engaging reflections.
