Grandparents are special to every child. The eras must have changed but their bed-time stories are still and will always be an integral part of everyone’s growing up years. They are also the wise and experienced ones, to whom we turn to in times of trouble. Their knowledge is invaluable and their love is unconditional. MRIS-14, Faridabad celebrated Grandparents Day, with a purpose to get their blessings and make the day a memorable one for them.

Our bloomers and toddlers, in colourful attires were all excited to perform in front of their grandparents. The Director Principal, Ms. Mamta Wadhwa extended a warm welcome to the Guest of Honor Smt. Satya Bhalla and Grandparents. The grandparents were overwhelmed by the welcome song and dance presented by the little munchkins. Children presented special performances starting with ramp walk, fascinated with the idea of “Technology and how it has taken a toll on us with time”, followed by the wonderful dance performances on songs from their era to ours depicting the theme “KAL AAJ AUR KAL”. The grandparents were touched by their lovely gesture.

This was not the end. The Grandparents were involved in many fun-filled games which showed their enthusiasm and sportsman spirit setting an example for everyone. They also shared their happiness and felt proud of their grandchildren. Smt. Satya Bhalla addressed the gathering praising the grandparents for taking out time for their little ones and suggested to hold such functions more often with a purpose to develop greater bonding.
