“Mariella Zanoletti is a systemic family psychotherapist. As well as completing the MSc in Family psychotherapy at the Institute of Psychiatry Kings College London, Mariella holds a PG Diploma in Applied Systemic Theory from the Tavistock Clinic London, MSc in Social Services Management from University of Trent- Italy, Pg Diploma in Integrative counseling from Aspic Milan-Italy, Pg Certificate in Family mediation from Aspic Rome-Italy, BSc Professional Educator from University of Brescia-Italy.

She is the head psychotherapist in Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre (CPC). Mariella also delivers workshop for Personal and Professional Empowerment in the Faculty of International Program. Mariella has 10 years experience working in Italy in the field of counselling and management and 4 years experience working as a systemic psychotherapist in the UK.”

Health Care

Healthcare facilities are available in the School health centre under the guidance of a full-time doctor. This is fully equipped to give first aid during emergency. The centre organizes regular medical checkups for staff and students. It also organizes awareness camps on various health problems such as dental checkup, healthy eye camp, ENT checkups, AIDS awareness, women wellness for teachers and staff, bone density for teachers and staff, skin care camp and mother and daughter workshop.

Dental Checkup

A dental Camp was organized from 30th Nov. to 18th Dec., 2011 by a team of doctors from Manav Rachna Dental College, Faridabad. School children were examined for various dental problems and given instructions and advised to maintain good oral hygiene.

Healthy Eye Camp

An eye camp was conducted by a team of Doctors from 24th Jan. to 8th Feb., 2012. Here, school children were examined for their vision and advised accordingly.

COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY CENTRE, TACKLING PROBLEMS OF ADOLESCENTS

The Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre is an active area of adolescent welfare at Manav Rachna International School. Here, different programmes are organised for adolescents which focus on the development of inter-personal communication skills, counselling in psychological, academic & health areas and career guidance.

Plus, equity programmes involve all students in some constructive activities at the school and community levels.

These are planned scientifically in tune with student ideology and the realities of the modern world. They enable students to visualise their goals clearly and charter their future progress path.

SAFETY & HYGIENE FOR STUDENTS

The safety and security of each child is an area of prime concern at the school. MRIS aims to make the premises a safe, healthy place which promotes a healthy lifestyle and ensures the well being of the students, physically, mentally and spiritually. The various facets of safety include:

SAFETY IN SCHOOL BUS

The number of students travelling in each bus is in accordance with the norms of the government. A helper and a maid escort the students and assist them to move in queue and maintain cleanliness. A safety kit is present in all school buses for emergency purpose. All the buses are CCTV enabled and are fitted with GPS device which helps the school keep track of the routes and communicate with the bus at all times.

SURVEILLANCE

To ensure security and safe learning environment the school provides an effective surveillance and security systems. These act as great deterrent factors, resulting in much better group control and a higher quality learning environment.

FIRE SAFETY

Fire extinguishers are installed at various places in MRIS schools. The schools hold practice fire drills to keep the students and staff familiar with the fire safety procedures, alert to fire breakout and prevent consequent loss.

PLAYGROUND RULES AND SAFETY

Practicing safety rules in playground is imperative for the well being of the children. No hitting, play fighting or pushing is allowed and using appropriate language is essential. Since playground is a place to learn positive things, students are encouraged to play fair and exhibit sportsman spirit and team work.

CLEAN DRINKING WATER, FOOD HYGIENE AND SANITATION

Proper sanitation is important for the general well being. It is the determinant of quality of life. To promote hygiene education and sanitary habits among students, they are sensitized about the importance of these factors. The school provides clean drinking water (using RO) to the students. They are encouraged to eat healthy and have a fruit break and lunch each day. The school premises are sanitized and cleaned to ensure that the children get a conducive environment to learn and play.

HEALTHY EATING

To ensure that the diet of the students is healthy, a healthy menu is planned. The students are encouraged to bring fruits for the Fruit Break. The Canteen days for the students are fixed class wise. All the foods available in the canteens are supervised to ensure they are healthy and of good quality…junk food is prohibited.
