Sensorial Experience with Different Textures Activity” on 17th October 13
It is said that children learn best by having “hands on” experiences with materials and sensory experiences are vital to young children’s learning.
At MRIS-Noida, a sensorial experience was given to the Nursery-Penguins through the ‘Sensorial Experience with Different Textures Activity’, where the children had to use their ‘Sense of Touch’ to feel various textured objects like toys, sandpaper, shells, wooden sticks, etc. The children were encouraged to describe how each texture felt, i.e. smooth, rough, bumpy, soft. It was thoroughly enjoyed by the children and was a great learning experience for them.
