Manav Rachna International Schools (MRIS) – Noida organizes a ‘Go Green Campaign’ initiative aimed at creating awareness among students

‘Go Green Campaign’ a unique school initiative under the “Budding Champs” to make the students environmentally conscious by engaging them in various activities which help conserve environment

         

         

         

On 16th December ’12 Manav Rachna International School, Sector- 51, Noida organised a ‘Go Green Campaign today under a unique school initiative “Budding Champs” for the age group of 1.5 years to 11 years. The aim of this initiative was to make the students environmentally conscious. The students pledged to nurture the plants to ensure a greener environment for the community, in the long run.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Sunanda Grover, Principal, Manav Rachna International School, Sec-51, Noida said, “At Manav Rachna, we encourage such recreational activities which build interest of students towards things and help in developing their overall personality. The school encourages organizing cultural events for the students which showcase the rich country’s heritage of arts, music, dance etc. It is also a great initiative to teach students how to conserve their environment.”

As a part of the initiative, the students planted saplings at different parts of the city. The effort put in by the children to make their community clean and green was well appreciated by the local citizens. Additionally, the enthralling crowd of children participated in many cultural activities like Fancy Dress competition, Poster Making, Competition on ‘Best out of Waste’ and many more.

The entire event was a grand success and it was also a wonderful and exciting experience for the children as well as their parents.
