“Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.”
Children learn as they play. To make learning interesting and fun for children, Water-Science-Mathematics activities were organized for the students of Nursery at Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana. Young learners were enthusiastic to learn various activity aided concepts like the concept of sinking, floating and bobbing, miscible and immiscible substances. Not only this, the concept of rusting was also explained to the students. Concept of filtration was discussed to help the children understand how dirty water can be cleaned using a filter paper.
An underwater scene containing water animals and water weeds were shown to the students. Distinctive features of Octopus, Starfish and Blue whale were shared with the little ones.
Magical activities like No leak bag were conducted wherein the children were briefed that a plastic bag filled with water does not burst if a pencil is pricked into the bag because plastic bag is made of ‘polymers’ and is flexible in nature. Beautiful patterns were designed using wet vibes for Tie and Dye concept. The concept of precipitation was explained to the students using foam and color in a glass.
