“A Child who reads will be an adult who thinks”
We, at Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana believe that with abundant passion and dedication, we can help children develop a love for reading. Interactive reading will act as a stepping stone for the child to become an enthusiast learner, a confident reader, writer and speaker for his future endeavours.
Focusing on the concept, Shared Reading day was organised recently for the students of pre-primary wing in their respective classes. Young minds were excited and thrilled to flip the pages of handmade story book made by the teachers of early years. Later on, the teachers narrated the story and taught the blending words to students mentioned in the story.
Shared reading is a new priceless rather a perfect tool for good teaching where a child experiences a story telling session just like in-home familiar environment using big/projected books. This makes students feel secure and more confident, and learn things quickly.
Principal Dr. Rupali Saini shared that as educators we need to develop an interactive bond between the teachers and students specifically by prioritizing reading to help children reap success later in their lives.
