Republic Day honours the date: 26th January, 1950 when the Constitution of India came into force. Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana celebrated Republic Daywith great zeal and fervour. The celebrations were presided over byDr.RoopaliTrehan,worthy Director, Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana.Era Goel of Grade VIIdelivered a speech on Republic Day, which enlightened everyone to develop a sense of ownership and responsibility towards the country. A patriotic poem, recited by Sanjogkaur of Grade IV, filled everyone with the spirit of nationalism. The whole campus reverberated with the group songs sung by the students of Grade I, II &III. Dance performances added cheer to the celebrations. An enactment was presented by the students of Grades IV &V through which they showcased how the drafting committee of the Constitution helped India to form the world’slongest and the best Constitution. Ms.Shilpi Gill, Principal, MRIS LDH expressed her love for the country and inspired the students to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of the great warriors for our protection. She motivated the students to join the Armed forces and shield the nation.She explained the idea of freedom and ownership in actually taking our country to heights of glory. Early years’ students were briefed by the teachers about the significance of Republic day. They also took along the craft created by them as a part of Republic day activities. Manav Rachnaitestook home the message: “He loves his country best who strives to make it best.”! Take the charge and make a difference!
