“Calligraphy is an art form that uses ink and a brush to express the very souls of words on paper.” ― Kaoru Akagawa

Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana organized an Activity on Calligraphy for the students of Early Years to Grade-II. A unique sense of inquisitiveness and enthusiasm could be spotted on the faces of young learners. A plethora of learning centers were set up for the students to participate. Every child was given due attention to understand the beautiful art of writing i.e. Calligraphy.

It is required to bring forth the creative side of the students especially in the field of handwriting. Keeping this in view, Calligraphy activity was created and organized under the guidance of school Principal, Dr. Rupali Saini.

Development of motor organs is of paramount importance. The ‘Index Finger’ plays an important role in colouring or writing activity. Crayons, Calligraphy nips / pens help the children to develop the grip. To instill creativity and to develop interest for writing and colouring, young learners of the school were motivated and involved in a ‘Freehand writing for Fun’ activity which they enjoyed a lot.
