A child’s play is not simply a reproduction of what he has experienced, but a creative reworking of the impressions he has acquired. – Vygotsky
Children learn best when teaching aligns with their natural exuberance, energy and curiosity i.e. play. It enhances every aspect of children’s development and learning. Early years students of MRIS-51, Gurugram were provided with the playful environment through learning centres wherein the children were not forced to learn else they were motivated by their own desire to make sense of their world.
The session started with skills developing and engrossing activities where the children couldn’t resist to participate and enjoyed all the activities to the fullest. Teachers used creativity and inspiration to trigger children’s instinct to learn. Teachers interacted with the children, asked questions and made suggestions to enhance their learning. Students gained various skills which were modeled in a play and work manner.
