“No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
Each year, Labor Day gives us an opportunity to recognize the invaluable contributions that working men and women make to our nation, our economy and our collective prosperity. It gives us a chance to show gratitude for workers’ grit, dedication, ingenuity and strength, which define our nation’s character. Keeping the same in mind, Students of KG C and Grade VII B presented a special assembly to honor the efforts of the helpers and to pay their gratitude towards them. KG C students unleashed their information about the importance of this day and presented a wonderful skit ‘Goldilocks learns to respect helpers’. The presentation gave the message that each and every occupation is important and we should respect the people associated with the same. Grade VII students provided vital information about the day being celebrated all around the globe and why “The Labour Day” is a special occasion when people worldwide celebrate the true spirit of the working class. This was followed by a song and a skit to celebrate the pride and spirit of the great men and women. The assembly concluded by applauding and honouring the bhaiyas and didis of the school. They truly deserved a sparkling celebration.
