An evacuation drill involving students and teachers was conducted for Toddlers to Grade-VII on May 3 at Manav Rachna International School, Sec-51, Gurugram to create awareness among the students about disaster management and the ways to respond swiftly at the time of an emergency. It was organized to check the readiness of the school to face any such emergency and also to make the students and staff aware about the Earthquake rescue operation.

The “evacuation” operation began moments after the alarm alerted the students. The students were immediately evacuated from their classrooms and asked to gather at the assembly area. They were advised and instructed not to be panic in case of any disaster. They were instructed to be with teachers at the time of any disaster and follow the instructions given by them.

Keeping all the safety measures in mind, the school building was successfully cleared within a span of 3.5 minutes.
