To mark the 72nd Independence Day, Manav Rachna International School, Sector-51, Gurugram celebrated ‘Independence Week’. The five-day celebration brought with it the flavour of patriotism in all its glory. Different activities engaged students constructively and gave them an insight into the rich history of our country. This day always reminds us of the untold sacrifices of the fighters of freedom. To commemorate the occasion of Independence Day, a Special assembly was held.
Students of Grade VI presented a special assembly to honour the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. It is an important day for every Indian regardless of religion, class, creed or race. This day brings back the memories and induces pride in all of us.
The students put up a brilliant performance commemorating the Independence Day. The students sang patriotic songs, talked about various National Symbols and Freedom Fighters of India. It was an effort to subtly make children aware of the hardships that the country had to go through for gaining independence. A Hindi song emphasizing on the value of peace in our lives was presented by the students of Dramatics Club. A scintillating dance performance with soul stirring lyrics depicting patriotic fervour was also presented. The students performed to the best of their abilities. They also got Tri-Colour food in their tiffin and enjoyed the Community Feast. Everyone enjoyed the program and left with immense love for their country in their hearts.
