Sweety Singh, a student of Grade-IX, MRIS-46, Gurugram was a part of the nine member Indian team that participated in the Under- 15 Basketball World Games held recently in Paris, which is also referred to as ‘The School Olympics’. Over 600 teams participated from 80 countries in various age group levels across five sports this year.
The girls that represented the Indian squad were selected by The International Board Sports Organisation. The team made it to the top four, beating many teams before losing to the very powerful school team from Israel.
It is commendable that Sweety represented India on a world platform. We are very sure that this young basketball player has miles to go in her career.
We wish her more strength and perseverance to better her game!
