The first day of India week began with a lot of enthusiasm among teachers as well as students. The vibrant colours of independence seemed to have spread all over the premises of MRIS 51. The entire primary wing gave the look of Mini India as the decor and interior of each class had been done according to the state allotted to them. Important information regarding the particular state was given to the students through power point presentations and handouts of the same were given to them.
Grade I A showcased Gujarat and reminded us of Gujarat being the most colourful state. Grade I B was decked up as Rajasthan depicting its rich culture and tradition. Grade I C presented before us the different colours of Uttar Pradesh. Grade II A gave the look of the agricultural state of Haryana. Grade II B truly displayed the Bollywood style of Maharashtra. Grade II C gave us the feel of back waters of Kerala and the famous snake boat race. Grade II D seemed to be in the festive mood of Durga Puja of West Bengal. The state of Bihar was beautifully presented by Grade III A. The cold breeze seemed to give goose bumps as one entered the mesmerising Kashmir by Grade III B. And then we came across seemingly endless sea beaches and the never ending spirit of New Year bash of Goa by Grade IV. Then came forth the most energetic Punjab by Grade V where ones feet automatically moved to the beats of Bhangra. Last but not the least we moved to the capital city Delhi and the sky scraping malls of the Millennium city that were very beautifully depicted by Grade VI.
Over all the first day of India week was a huge success and we are looking forward to something more extraordinary & exciting coming our way as we move ahead.
