We, at Manav Rachna, follow experiential and hands-on learning pattern for our students, so that learning becomes easy and long-lasting. In this endeavour, students of Early Years of Manav Rachna International School, Sec-21C, Faridabad visited the Fire Station, Faridabad for another bout of experiential learning.

Students were presented many things that are used in fire fighting but the most enjoyable for them was to see the firefighter in his full gear. They were explained about the importance of fire gear, the reason and way to use it in case of fire fighting.

Students were also delighted to see various sizes of fire brigades with accessories like fire extinguisher, hose pipe, ladder on top, water tank etc. They were excited when the demo of the usage of hose pipe was given. They learned how the ladder is used to reach higher buildings.

All the students are aware of the helpline number, i.e. 101, that is dialed during fire emergencies. After training and learning, they can also identify the sound of the siren of fire brigade and learnt to give way to the vehicle whenever they hear the siren.

It was an enriching experience for everyone.
