A Space Explorer workshop was conducted at MRIS 21c, Faridabad recently. The purpose of the workshop was to provide the Students with practical knowledge of viewing the sky through a telescope and to give them an insight into the vast universe. The Students were divided into groups and the workshop had Educational PowerPoint presentation on to explain the basics of the solar system, galaxies, planets and their moons; Telescopic Viewing and handling; Sky observation; Marble and sand activity wherein an artificial moon made out of sand was created on the ground, students learned about crater formations on the surface of moon by throwing marbles at the artificial moon.

Also, there was a Parent involvement workshop involving training for the parents of students attending the science workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to simultaneously involve not just the students but also their parents.

Overall it was a wonderful experience for both parents and students.
