We, at MRIS, believe that Hands-on, Experiential Learning is the best way for a child to learn. EduTrips and visits form an integral part of the Experiential Learning and therefore, play a significant role in a child’s learning process. Not only do they reinforce the concepts learnt, but also are a learning experience for themselves. Our children of KG have embarked on a new journey through the Theme ‘Festivals and Food’ and are learning about food for different occasions and from different regions as part of the theme. In order to enhance the learning curve, we organised a visit to Bikanervala for the students of KG.
The objective of the visit was to make the children aware of different foods from different regions of India, and around the world. At Bikanervala, the teachers discussed with the children about various cuisines. The teachers also discussed with the children about the various food preparations that were on display, such as sweets, pickles, dry-fruits, snacks, biscuits, etc. The children were shown the procedure of placing an order and also how billing is done. They were then served breakfast at Bikanervala and they relished eating with their friends. It was a fun-filled morning, packed with learning, and the children came back happy and enriched.
