“Say No to Crackers and Yes to Life”, was the impactful message conveyed by Mrs. Sanyogita Sharma, Director MRIS-21 C Faridabad, in an assembly conducted prior to the Anti-Cracker Rally that was held on 30th October 2013 by the students and staff of the School. All the students from Bloomz to Grade V attended the assembly and pledged not to burst crackers and celebrate an eco – friendly Diwali. The assembly began with Principal, Mrs. Ikwinder S.Singh, welcoming the members of the R.W.A. Sector -21C, the ASI, a team from The Hindustan Times, students from MRIU, a representative from Radio Manav Rachna.
The Assembly commenced with the Gayatri Mantra and the School Song. The Students presented a mesmerizing dance performance and shared their thoughts on this occasion through poems. Teachers shared their views with every one present through self composed poems. Mrs. Ikwinder S. Singh motivated the students to celebrate a cracker free Diwali and invited the members of the R.W.A. to share their thoughts and encourage the students to celebrate a smoke free Diwali.
Members of the R.W.A congratulated the Principal, students and the staff members on this initiative and encouraged everyone to celebrate a Green Diwali. After the Assembly, the rally was officially flagged-off from the main gate of MRIS 21C Faridabad, spreading the message of a green and safe Diwali.
