We at MRIS-14 were really delighted to visit the Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School at Mohna Villageonce again. Yet another team of teachers and students was ready to go there and be with those children. As they reached there the students of the Govt School were excited to see them as if they were already waiting for them. They welcomed them with cheerful smiles and settled down fast looking forward to be taught by MRIS-14 team. This time the MRIS-14 team had planned to teach them Maths, talk about bad touch good touch, take story telling sessions, and to engage them in a lot of fun games along with Rakhi making activity.

Our Math teacher Ms. Prema was well prepared and decided to do activities based on Algebra with class VIII. She carried worksheets for them and also taught them about the “Magic Square”. She also taught ‘Lines and segments’ to class IX children. She made the students so comfortable that they opened up and came up with various queries related to ‘Polynomials.”

Ms. Surbhi, the school counselor, took sessions on ‘good touch and bad touch’, which is indeed the call of the hour. She also told them to raise a voice against the people who make them feel uncomfortable and share everything with their friends and mothers. It was a very interactive session. Students were made aware of the women helpline number also.

Ms. Nidhi took story session with the primary students. They listened to the moral based stories and promised to follow them in their life to become better human beings. She also taught them poems and songs.

Ms. Kunju and Ms. Tanya made the day a fun filled day for the primary kids. They had designed and carried various games to play with them. It was really a delight to see them enjoy these games. The kids were very excited and cheered with joy when they participated in fun races. Both the teachers tirelessly played with them trying to give them as much as happiness they could in that duration. They were surrounded by the students all the time.

Our XII class students also had their own plans to make this day a memorable one for these children. Keeping the Rakshabandhan festival in mind they decided to teach them about rakhi making. They carried all the material to conduct the activity. They were welcomed with open mind and open arms. Even our students wanted to teach to the maximum number of students. They not only taught them but also gave them hands on training by providing them with the material, thus making the festival unique for them.

The students of the Govt. Girls Higher secondary school also remembered the MRIS-14 team which had visited them earlier on 01-08-14. They bid goodbye to the team sending sweet remembrance for the previous team of teachers and students. It was remarkable to note that they even remembered the names of the MRIS-14 students who had visited them last time.

All the MRIS-14 members whether students or teachers, wish to visit them again and contribute towards the noble cause initiated by Manav Rachna family under the leadership of Ms. Satya Bhalla Ma’am.
