As it is rightly said by Charles W. Elio- “Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers”. We, at MRIS have taken an initiative to help the Students understand this better by starting a Reading Programme all across the classes, wherein the Students carry a book of their choice to School everyday.
Furthermore, the avid readers of Grade VIII celebrated World Book Week by making the Title page of their favourite book written by their most favourite author, thus showing their tribute to the authors. They did this activity under the guidance of their librarian with great passion and involvement. It was an opportunity for them to come closer to the books of their interest thereby, letting them discover more books and authors.
