“The more that you read,

The more things you will know,

The more you learn,

The more places you’ll go.”

It is very well said that you are never too young to pick a book and read. The  Kindergartners of MRIS Sector 14 observed DEAR HOUR – “Drop everything and read” in their class rooms to mark World Book Day.  The little learners were very excited to read their favourite story books. They were briefed about the importance of reading books to gain knowledge and enhance their vocabulary at this early age. They were also told that a book is the most precious gift as it can be read again and again. While reading the picture and story books, they explored new words which built upon their confidence towards reading. Children enjoyed the activity and made a promise to make reading a regular practice in their day to day lives  as they say, “Today a reader is tomorrow a leader”.
