Children are the most precious gift of God, and the teachers are the most blessed people of all as they spend most of their time with them. They give immense love to each other, unconditional love …. Celebrating Children’s day gives them an opportunity to showcase their unmatched love and affection for them. MRIS-14 witnessed the same when all the teacher very enthusiastically came forward to participate in the special assembly organized for the children. They presented a variety of programme to mark the birthday of our beloved Prime Minister Late Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Ji, who loved children a lot.

The very beginning of the assembly took the students by surprise when they saw their teachers singing the prayer and then presenting the thought the way they do in their assemblies. The Medley sang by the teachers made the students sing along with them. They could not stop themselves from cheering for their teacher who sang melodiously. Teachers are always teachers. The humorous dance drama which depicted the behavior of the students in general also had the hidden message of basic manners and swachchta abhiyaan.  Grade1 & 2 students jumped with joy when their teachers enacted as well as danced in the play. A blend of divine music and melody was presented by Ms. Rinky, Ms. Ayushi  and Ms. Shruti. Mr. Manoj ,the dance teacher took everyone by surprise when he came up on the stage with Mr. Ritesh and sang a beautiful song.

Now it was the time for a foot tapping number. Everyone was looking forward to it. The teacher rocked the stage with the latest songs. The esteemed guest of the day the Principal, Ms. Mamta Wadhwa along with Pt. Nehru ji….yes, with Nehru ji came up on the stage and addressed the students and teachers.

The fun for the children did not end here. The whole school was out in the ground involved in various activities. If some had gone to town Park then others were busy playing in the ground. Some of the classes engaged themselves for a cause. They made posters on “Polythene free environment’. Not only this, Grade XI students decided to celebrate this day with the children of NGO Prabhat. They made beautiful paintings and also bhel-puri with them. Because the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.

It is very rightly said that childhood is about innocence and playfulness. It is about joy and freedom.
