“Research indicates that workers have three prime needs: Interesting work, Recognition in doing a good job and being let into things that are going on in the company.”
Consistency, relevance and an undying thirst for excellence prompts the administrators at Manav Rachna to provide an unmatched learning and training experience for its staff. Under the aegis of Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation, the housekeeping staff of the Manav Rachna International School, Sec-14, Faridabad was apprised of the basic tenets of their job in a Three-day workshop held within the school premises. On Day 1, a structured training and development program was conducted by the headmistress, Ms. Minakshi Sharma and the Co-scholastic Coordinator Ms. Nidhi to make them familiar with the basic etiquettes and mannerisms. All employees need to be aware of the expectations and procedures within the company.
Keeping in mind the same and understanding the need of the hour, the staff was taught how to use the three magical words: Thank you, Sorry and Excuse Me Please. Negligence of personal hygiene can subject a person to various infections and diseases. In lieu with this, and being concerned about the students’ health, the second day workshop dealt with the importance of personal hygiene and was conducted by the school medical practitioner, Dr. Rekha. General queries regarding personal hygiene were also taken up. On the last day, the school counselor, Ms. Vritti Sachdeva sensitized them upon working with children keeping in view the perspective of the POCSO Act, 2012. The employees were made aware of the means of maintaining a professional code of conduct – especially regarding the physical handling of the children. Their beaming faces and enthusiastic demeanor indicated a successful conclusion to the informative project.
