“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” – Desmond Tutu
With a view to advocate kindness and generosity among the eager receptive minds of Manav Rachna International School, Sec-14, Faridabad, first assembly of the new session of Grade VIII-A was conducted with a message to ‘treat others the way they want to be treated’. As the students stood on the threshold of a promising year, it was of unmitigated importance to remind them to be humble and kind. Resplendent faces of the students shone with a zeal to absorb as the students of VIII-A put up a short talk-show and spoke about how every person you meet has a story to tell and deserves respect.
A poem was also recited which touched the hearts of many students. Students also celebrated Baisakhi by tapping their foot on a peppy dance number. The Class In-charge, Ms. Simran Chopra, conveyed the message of being respectful and polite.
Vice Principal, Dr. Shalini Bindra, spoke on the advent of the new session, the incessant endeavors of educators at Manav Rachna and uplifted the spirit of the exuberant students, stirring their innate desire to imbibe and excel. She concluded her address with the appropriate quote, “You reap what you sow”.
