“Good food is all the sweeter when shared with good friends.”

Sharing is a primary skill that is honed in Kindergarten. With this objective in mind, MRIS-14 organised a ‘Delicacy Day’ for the kinder garteners as an extension to their ongoing GES theme ‘Food and Festivals’. It was time for the teachers to dress up and take the stage. The little ones were overjoyed to see their teachers dressed in the attire specially worn for various festivals such as Durga Puja, Christmas, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc. Children added the main flavour to the activity by bringing the delicacies of different festivals which were laid out in the class. A delicacy lounge was set up by the teachers in the corridor, highlighting the festivity. The kindergarteners were enthralled by the teachers who came to their classrooms to discuss about various festivals and the related delicacy. The little ones got into the festive spirit as they witnessed the dandiya and lavani being presented by their teachers, thus upholding the rich cultural heritage of India. The sumptuous delicacies were then shared by children with great exuberance. The varied festive dishes like dhokla, rajbhog, khakhra, vada pav, ladoo, gujiya, etc, stimulated their little taste buds. The kindergarteners went home with the beautiful message – ‘sharing is caring’.
