The tiny tots of Nursery and Grade 4 students of MRIS-14 presented a spectacular assembly on the occasion of world’s most loved and celebrated festival, Christmas. The Early Year children came beautifully dressed in red and green attires. Children recited a prayers and a skit showcasing the birth of Jesus Christ was presented by the teachers of Nursery. The grand entry of the Santa who came singing and waving to the children added onto fun and frolic around. The little ones charmed and enthralled everyone with their dance moves. Our Kindergarteners harmoniously sang melodious Christmas Carols which kept the spirit of the festival alive. The celebration continued in the respective classes by lovely take away crafts being given to each child.
On the other hand, our Grade 4 students also sang the Christmas songs in their assembly for the Middle school children, followed by St. Nicholas play that teaches the children that instead of asking for gifts on Christmas, what they can do to serve others through generosity, service, and kindness. The poem of Bethelem, a Christmas carol, captured the sight and heart of the audience. A Big Band performance, featuring mixing of some old, nostalgic Christmas classics along with new contemporary Christmas songs was presented by our upcoming rockstars.
The assembly was concluded by the address of our Principal, Ms Mamta Wadhwa and Vice-President, Ms. Monika Kathuria praised the presentations put up by the children and wished them Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
This wasn’t the end to the celebration as our little ones of Toddlers went for an excursion to Bubbles- Fun World where they had a wonderful time playing in different play centres. The kids enjoyed the Christmas feast with a cake ceremony.
All in all, it was a fascinating and an incredible Christmas celebration.
