MRIS Sector 14, Faridabad welcomed dynamic young leaders of tomorrow by conferring them the responsibilities of the various departments of the Junior Student Council. The event was presided over by the Chief Guest for the day, Col. V.K. Gaur, Advisor-MREI. The programme began with a motivational song followed by a special performance “PARTHASARTHI” – a dance drama depicting the leadership of Lord Krishna and his strategies which he adopted to deal with different situations and came out as a winner.
The Investiture Ceremony began by awarding badges and sashes to Jr. Council members. The School flag and the clan flag was held with pride by the Jr. Head Boy, Jr. Head Girl and the Jr. Clan Chiefs. Students took an oath to shoulder their duties with utmost responsibility.
Jr. Head Boy and Jr. Head Girl posts were conferred to Shiven Chakraborty and Sakshi Giroti respectively. The Jr. Clan Chiefs of Clan Air Falcons, Water Sharks, Forest Rhinos and Wild Cats were announced as Royallika Ahuja, Eric Mendiratta, Maanya Arora and Karshini Khullar respectively.
Principal, Ms. Mamta Wadhwa also encouraged the council that the students should always be committed to important issues and should have clarity of thoughts. She opined that they must uphold the values and ethos of the school with utmost dignity and to carry out the duties with sincerity.
Our chief guest, Col. V.K. Gaur, congratulated the council members. In his address, he mentioned that there are three things we all can and should learn from student, which are, to be happy, keeping ourselves busy and the art of getting the desired objects. He also suggested that we should try to learn life lessons from Bhagavat Gita at the tender age of childhood.
Vice Principal Ms. Monika Kathuria, congratulated the newly formed Jr. Prefectorial body and praised the performances given by the students. She concluded by extending her thankful vote for MRIS team and the students for making the programme a success.
