Grandparents are special to every child. Their bed-time stories are integral part of everyone’s growing up years. They are also the wise and experienced ones we turn to in times of trouble. MRIS-14 celebrated Grandparents’ Day for Toddlers with a view to welcome and to thank them for their unconditional love and invaluable knowledge and moral values that they part to their grand children.

Tiny tots in colourful attires were very excited to perform before their grandparents. The function started with the lightening of the lamp and Gayatri mantra.  The grandparents were overwhelmed by the welcome song and welcome dance presented by the little ones.  They also sang a song to make them feel special and also praised them for their constant support. The grandparents were touched by such a gesture. It was a moment of delight for the grandparents to see a child dressed up as Kalidas reciting the Hanuman Chalisa, which left the grandparents in tears. The parody of old songs took them into their era of youth and pepped up the entire atmosphere. Children danced on the tunes of ek main aur ek tu , pyaari bindu, shola jo bhadke etc. Finally the event ended with ramp walk by our enthusiastic grandmothers and many fun-filled games. Grandparents also shared their happiness and felt proud of their grandchildren. It was a great day indeed.
