Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy and the keepers of traditions. They pamper the kids more than the parents themselves and their bed-time stories are an integral part of every child’s growing up years. Through their special love and care, they keep a family close at heart. Although by any means we can’t thank them enough but MRIS-Sector 14, Faridabad tried a bit to do so by organizing a ‘Grandparents Day’ for the students of Bloomz and Toddlers. The occasion was graced by Ms. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI. In her address she thanked the grandparents and threw light on the importance of joint families. Executive Director, Ms. Deepika Bhalla, the supporter and motivator also graced the occasion and supported her team.
The event commenced by welcoming the grandparents followed by an energetic Ganesh Vandana performance and song dedicated to the grandparents. The audience was awestruck to see the tiny Bloomerz walking on the red carpet to flaunt their attire with poised steps. A soothing performance on ‘Khwaja mere Khwaja’ mesmerized and left everyone spell bound.
The little Toddlers amazed their grandparents by giving enthralling performances on the theme, ‘Festivals of India’ depicting the themes learnt in their class. The grand finale on Diwali and Baisakhi was the show stealer where the kids danced on foot-tapping Punjabi numbers. The Headmistress, Ms. Monika Kathuria kept the spirits of the tiny tots and the grandparents high by her motivating words. The fun did not end here, one-minute games organized for the grandparents were much entertaining both for the grandparents as well their grandchildren. They really enjoyed participating in various games like bed tea making, putting bindis on grandma’s forehead in the game ‘Ek Dujey Kay Liya’. Grandparents participated with great zeal and delight. The Principal, Ms. Mamta Wadhwa thanked the grandparents for sparing their valuable time and also congratulated the students and teachers for putting up a great show.
