Graduation Day for the students of Class V is more than a ceremony. It is a day to celebrate an accomplishment. It is not a farewell but a new beginning. A day to set new endeavors, new challenges and new plans to be more focused. The students of MRIS-sector14 felt the same when they reached the school to attend their “Graduation Ceremony”. It was a moment of pride not only for the students but also for the teachers who had put in best of their efforts to mentor their students and for their parents too who had been a part of their journey and had witnessed their growth.
The programme began with a welcome address by the Headmistress, Dr. Shalini Bindra followed by the auspicious lighting of the lamp. The Principal, Ms.Mamta Wadhwa extended her warm welcome to the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. I. K. Kilam, Director RMR and the Guest of Honour Ms. Heather, Director Academic Excellence Team ,the parents and the Grandparents. She emphasized upon the significance of reading.
It was followed by the spectacular Invocation, wherein the poise and the moves of the dancers kept everyone captivated.The students took the audience down the memory lane by sharing their experiences of the school. Some laughed, some cried and some found it hard to believe that they had completed their primary schooling. The parents felt touched listening to them. Children were appreciated for 100% Attendance in the academic year 2014-15, the Class Toppers were felicitated and the Scholarships were given away to the deserving students. Wow! What a moment it was for the proud parents. Their outburst of happiness and pride was quite visible on their faces. Not only this, the Students of Class V as well as IV were also appreciated and awarded the Excellence Award.
The most awaited moment of the day, The Graduation Ceremony, was a picture perfect moment. The Chief Guest in his address congratulated the parents and the students. He advised the parents to identify the talents of their children and further hone them . he also encouraged the parents and children to actively participate in various programmes being aired on Radio Manav Rachna. Ms. Heather admired the confidence, compassion and intelligence of the students. She appreciated the staff and students for their dedication.
The programme concluded with a foot tapping dance performance, which recharged everyone with renewed enthusiam. Last but not the least, the students, on behalf of their fellow friends, extended their gratitude by thanking the school administrators, teachers and parents for their unconditional support and guidance.
